Specialty now restores & converts 1962 thru '74 Delco breakerpoint distributors to a reliable solid state electronic ignition without sacrificing the stock appearance.  The conversion system, called "Breakerless SE Single Wire Ignition", replaces the original points with a fully integrated trigger assembly and power module that completely fits inside

Specialty will restore & convert your distributor to the Breakerless SE system with a turn-around time of approximately two (2) weeks.  Cost will be quoted upon receipt of your distributor.  Total cost is based on the price of the system at $159.00, plus the time required to restore the distributor.  Typically, it takes 5 hours for restoration at a shop rate of $55.00/hour.

Question #2:  What is meant by "single wire ignition"?

Answer:  The Breakerless SE system requires only one wire to function- the original black wire leading from the distributor to the ignition coil.  This not only simplifies installation, but preserves the stock appearance of the factory wiring.  Similar ignition conversion systems use two or more wires to operate, making the electrical hookup difficult, and creating a modified appearance to the engine compartment.
